Well, I'm back and today I officially turn Middle Aged...

Today (June 27), I turn 37 years old.  Which some people say is the start of being middle aged... I was born in the back seat of a 1969 Ford Galaxy on the way to the hospital.   Sorry I have been away so long but work, running this committee, and life in general have gotten in the way of blogging.  Here are some random thoughts on what has been going on.

Mark Sanford is a stupid disgrace.  Any man that cheats of his wife is a disgrace, but to do it when you are going to run for President is stupid.  I'm glad it happened in 2009 and not in 2012.   Good-bye Greyhound. You're gone!!!

Michael Jackson is dead.  Why do we have saturation coverage of this?  Iran, North Korea, two bad bills on healthcare and energy, and this all goes away because Michael Jackson died?  The coverage should be on E Entertainment Television, not anywhere else.   Everything has become American Idol now.  Pretty soon getting on that show will be the only way to get a job.

Tiller the baby killer is dead.  The person who did this should spend the rest of life in prison and so should the doctors that perform abortion, a long with people that choose to murder their own baby.   Is that clear enough for you MSNBC????!!!!

A member of La Raza is now headed for the Supreme Court, I, as a white male can comment on this better than a Latino woman, because my superior Scottish ethnic background in the art of writing.

David Letterman is a ******** ********* *********!!!!!!!!

ABC did some propaganda on how great President Obama's Health Care Takeover is.  If something is on TV but nobody watches it, is it really on????  ABC lost credibility a long time ago.

I'll be by you're blogs sometime this weekend.

It’s Saturday, June 27th, My Birthday...  May God Bless America!

Myths and Truth about Healthcare

President-Elect Obama and the Democrat Congress are still talking about the need for "Universal Healthcare".  This is one of the biggest lies ever told.   What we need is healthcare reform, just like we need reform in so many other places of government bureaucracy.  I just love it when Speaker Pelosi says "If you like your current plan, you can keep your current plan, the government plan will be for those who do not have a plan or for people who do not like their current plan."

So Democrats are going to give people a choice. If people like paying $30, $60 or $90 s a week or more to their employer for their healthcare, they can still do so, and the government will be taking at least $150 out of the same paycheck each week to pay for everyone else who is under the "government plan".   Boy, that sounds good, sign me up for that........

On the other hand, they could drop the employer plan and join the "government plan' Gee, something tells me a lot of people would probably choose this option.

The United States government cannot sustain a program that would be this big, even with taking $150 from every paycheck without rationing vital healthcare services.  For example just look at countries that have already adopted "universal healthcare" such as England and Canada, first, everyone that needs a live saving operation comes to this country to get it done because they only do so many live saving surgeries a year because the government cannot afford it.  Second, everyone that does not want to go to work every day in those countries simply drives to hospital says, there knee, shoulder, or head hurts so they cannot work.  It's all paid for, so why not?  Third, doctors and nurses in those countries are not able to keep up with the sheer number of patients, and the more patients a doctor has the less time and care the doctor provides for each patient.  Fourth, insurance that doctors have to buy in those countries has skyrocketed as well because once the government is involved, in come the lawyers. Insurance for doctors is already high enough in this country Fifth,  since the government is in charge of the entire system, the government has a say in life or death decisions in which a patient is "worth saving"  or not.  Considering the stances of most governments when it comes to life issues, that is a scary thought.

Is this the kind of system, we want to bring to America?  "Universal Healthcare" would leave America broke and dead.

My Solution

Healthcare should not be linked with government or employment.  We should pay a premium to a private company the same way we pay for car insurance. Each private company should provide at least two plans an HMO or a PPO.   A premium should be set for each plan.

You can pay the premium all at once or in twelve or fewer monthly installments.  That way you are covered no matter what happens, just like car insurance.    This might also lower the price of health insurance creating more competition for the free market, with every individual buying their own plan.

You would not believe all the people I have spoken to that have said they would like to quit their job and start their own business but cannot because of health insurance.  Under my free market plan, people could quit their jobs and start that small business they always wanted to.    Also, a lot of the stress and hardship people endure from being fired or laid off is health insurance related.  In the next few years the amount of layoffs and firings are going to increase, in my opinion.  My solution would make life easier for those who find themselves in that situation.  Doctors and patients would be back in charge of treatment and medical decisions.

According to the Democrats the number of people uninsured in this country is 47 million.  That statement is misleading at best.  What they do not tell you is that at least 12 million of those people are illegal aliens, who get free healthcare in this country every time they show up at a hospital because they are illegal aliens.  There are another 20 million people, who could afford healthcare coverage and have access to it, just choose not to have it.   So the real number is around 15 million, give or take an a few million illegal aliens.

I don't want Obama's S-Force knocking at my door one day saying "Mr. Smith, where is your healthcare money?"  They already do that here in Massachusetts thanks to Flip Romney's stupid plan.

It is so good to have some time off from work.

It's Monday Morning... May God Bless America!

Huckabee Show

I just got back from New York.  The Huckabee show was awesome.  Mom and I had a great time.  We even got a chance to meet the Governor after the show. He was really nice and spent a lot of time talking to us.   Then to top it all off Neal Sedaka was the musical guest.   How cool is that....

Did anyone see me?  I was in the back row close to the band.

It's Saturday Night... Make that Sunday Morning... May God Bless America!

Come November 2010, We Are Taking It Back

Come November 2010, we are taking it back, if we follow these 10 principles of traditional conservatism.

1.      Fiscal responsibility with our money

2.    Free market solutions to problems instead of bigger government

3.    Under capitalism companies will be allowed to fail

4.    National security will be put ahead of world adoration

5.     Life means something and it will be protected

6.    Borders will mean something and they will be enforced

7.     Freedom of speech will apply to everyone

8.    The right to own weapons will not be infringed

9.    More private choices in education and healthcare

10.                        States rights will be respected

The following formula wins every single time it is tried. The GOP listening tour started last night. They have a golden opportunity here. Instead of a listening tour they should go on a teaching tour. Instead of going out and asking people what they want and just saying, “Okay, we will do that” and calling it the “new conservatism”, they should hear what people have to say and then explain to them how “old school conservatism” can make their lives better. Remember, leaders lead, followers follow.   I’d rather lose with a strong conservative, than win with another Arlen Specter. Earlier this week Senator Graham of South Carolina said he was going to ask Former Governor and DHS Chief Tom Ridge to get into the PA Senate race, because former Congressman Pat Toomey can’t win “because he is a conservative”.

Tom Ridge is another Arlen Specter. If this is the kind of %$&*^& that is going to go on this time around, I will wash my hands of the whole thing.

I am going to throw the maximum amount possible behind Pat Toomey.

Now in full disclosure, my friend Angie Orem used to be his Press Secretary and Communications Director when he was a Congressman several years ago.  So I do have a connection, however, I would still support him regardless because of his conservative record.

It is time to take a stand for conservatism!!! Now, who is with me!!!

It’s Sunday Afternoon… May God Bless America!

We Are All Terrorists Now

Janet Napolitano should be fired immediately. How dare she refer to us as “threats to the Republic”.    If President Bush’s DHS Chair Michael Chertoff ever announced people who are pro-choice, green environmentalists and union members were now going to be looked at as potential terrorists. The liberals would have gone crazy. The liberals had the nerve to call President Bush “the imperial President”  If anyone should have Darth Vader’s Music playing behind them when they make an appearance it’s President Obama and his Stormtrooper Cabinet.

It’s time President Obama stopped worrying about politics and started worrying about what’s going on in Pakistan right now. Worry about politics in late 2010 and 2012 Mr. President, during election time.

I don’t need to be recruiting Veterans; they will be on our side anyhow during the next election. President Obama is the most polarizing President in history. He is unifying both sides, so if the conservatives get a great candidate it should be a competitive race for the White House.

Trans-nationalism equals the end of American sovereignty. Anybody who stands for that should be filibustered or thrown out of office no matter what party they belong to.

Let me get this straight, the terrorists who are planning to kill us are no longer bad guys, but the patriots who helped defend us from attacks by using good interrogation practices are now enemies of the state. UBL is laughing at us. The Democrats believe water boarding terrorists is bad, but abortion is wonderful. Some idiots up here still ask me why I’m not a Democrat.  Water boarding never killed anybody.

The Boston Tea Party at the State House went well. About 4,000 people showed up all together. I got a chance to meet Poppy (John) finally. I hope I get a chance to meet all of you someday.   A television reporter from CNN asked to interview me on camera; I said “I don’t speak to the Clinton News Network. Take a hike!” Seeing what happened to that guy in Chicago, I made the right call.   Fox News Radio interviewed me, that interview went very well.

Then after the tea party, I left for D.C. for my cousin Julie’s wedding. The wedding was outdoors and the reception was at the 4912 in Falls Church, Virginia. We had great weather the sun was shining, the temperature was 72 degrees and everything was perfect. They took vows at 5:00pm the sun was right behind them.   It really gave me hope for the future….

When I am on the subject of weddings… Carrie Prejean I love you.. Will you marry me??? LOL!!! Perez Hilton is a @#$%^&**%!!!!

My mother said “I am surprised they let us on Amtrak with us being declared terrorists by DHS and all.”  Good one Mom.

Last Tuesday, I was given a tour of The Heritage Foundation; the building is just down the street from Union Station.   It’s really nice inside I was shown everything including the outdoor roof top where you can see clear into Virginia and Maryland depending on which way you look. If you are a member I encourage you to take the tour.

I bought a T-shirt down there that says “I love my country. It’s the government I don’t trust”.  I also bought a “Friends don’t let friends, vote Democrat” mug at the Newseum.

Thoughts and prayers are with Ann Coulter’s family as she just lost her mother last week. God bless you, Ann.

It’s Saturday afternoon… May God Bless America!

Out of The Wilderness Update and Tea Party News

This one is going to be all over the place. There are a lot of things going on.    First of all I spoke to Chairman Steele on Friday’s Morning in America radio show.    He was filling in for Bill Bennett. I implored him to run conservative candidates in the Northeast.  I told him the reason why Republicans lose in the Northeast is because the people are not given a true choice.   It’s always liberal “D” vs. liberal “R”.   I also told him we need some national money spent from the Federal party to help races in the state.   The main point of my phone call though was we need better candidates and workers who have good communication skills to actually get out there and explain conservatism and how those principles applied correctly will improve their lives.   Too many years have been spent pandering to constituents who are not going to vote for us anyhow.   Too many years we have just listened to people and regurgitated back them exactly what they want. Instead, we should have been teaching them that their ideas were wrong and explaining why our ideas were better in the long run.   He told me, he agreed with me and I gave him a few things to think about.   I was on for about 15 minutes all together.  The funny thing is all the other calls that hour were talking about that “Michael from Norton, MA” phone call and how right I was in what I was saying.

In other news… “Wasn’t that a dainty bow before the Saudi King?”   Hey TOTUS (not a typo), why are you lying? You bowed. It was a bow.   It was not a handshake.    President Bush made a mistake when he kissed him, but he did not lie about it afterword.   You are making it worse by not telling the truth.    Speaking of lying….

Vice President Joseph Biden, you cannot operate the way you used to. There are people who know who know you are a pathological liar, incapable of telling the truth if lives depended on it. Even Team Obama is saying the “meeting” never happened.  You should be ashamed of yourself. Oh, I forgot you are a Biden, you have no shame.

If this is how President Obama handles “pirates”,   I can’t imagine what is going to happen if there is another major terrorist attack in this country.  Oh, I’m sorry Madame Secretary, I meant “man-made caused incident”

There are many Tea Parties happening on Wednesday. The one in San Antonio has the best theme music and web promo. I will be at the Boston Tea Party. We will be at the field in front of the State House on Beacon Street in Boston.  I will be wearing my colonial gear that I got in Williamsburg, VA a few years ago.   I hope every single one of you can get the day off from work and head to a Tea Party.

Have a wonderful Easter, and remember it’s not about eggs and rabbits. It’s about Christ and his sacrifice for all of us.

Through Christ our Lord, anything is possible.

It’s Saturday Afternoon… May God Bless America!

An Open Letter to Meghan McCain

Meghan McCain took a shot at Ann Coulter this week.  Well Meghan, here is your receipt…

Dear Miss Meghan McCain,

Your father and his mushy moderate views are what cost us the election last November. If you and dear-old-Dad want to promote “center-left views” than create your own party, and get the hell out of mine.

I volunteered for your father last year. I gave up every weekend for him to work in his call center in Boston which by the way is 27 miles from my house. I even went up to Nashua New Hampshire and walked over five miles, house to house for him.  It was not because your dad inspired me. It was not because I believed in John McCain’s message (He didn’t have one).  It was because I did not want Barack Obama to become President.   When I volunteered for President George W. Bush, (a man you never even voted for, Meghan) by the following January he always sent me a personal thank you note after the grueling campaign thanking me for all my hard work.  It is now March and I have not even received a form letter thank you from your father.  That shows you how much your family appreciates the help…

Maybe if Father John didn’t spend the last ten years attacking conservatives every week maybe some more of those “bad people” as you call us would have voted for him. Maybe if your father didn’t say such glowing things about his good friends Ted Kennedy and John Kerry, he would have rallied more people to his side. When asked during the campaign if he was worried that conservatives would not vote for him, he said “Where else are they going to go?”  That is really inspiring.  Ann Coulter would have received more votes than John McCain did.

We don’t need two versions of the Democrats. When that happens, the liberals will vote for the Democrat and the conservatives stay home. Meghan it’s time for you and Big Daddy to leave the GOP. If you don’t like us, then just go, no one will ask you to stay, and we won’t miss you either.

Sincerely,

Michael John Smith Jr.

It Happened at CPAC

I know I’m late to the game in commenting on all of this but there has been a lot going on…

First of all I think Rush gave a great speech. He hit all the points that were important to victory next time around. Now if we could just get a conservative   who is running for office to give a speech like that and we would win. For all the merlot sipping, mushy moderates that claim the speech was over the top and does not represent the new intellectual expanded Republican Party, I got one thing to say… “Expand on this, pal!!!” The last two elections you idiots tried to reach out to the other side and we got are hands cut off. Why the hell do we need two versions of the Democrat Party?   The GOP has to end the practice of visiting with people and adopting every idea that they hear from someone and running candidates on that and calling all the new ideas “the new conservatism”.

UPDATE:   The Liberals are now going after Rush because he said if Ted Kennedy passes away before the "universal healthcare" bill is done they will end up calling it "The Ted Kennedy Memorial Healthcare bill" What they are not saying is John Podesta said basically the same thing in February.   Let me get this straight a person can get drunk, kill a woman, and not tell anyone for 56 hours, never serve any time in jail and keep his job as a U.S. Senator.  However, 40 years later when a Talk Show host makes a comment about a bill being named after him, now there is controversy. Give me a break!!!
We now return you to my regular post...

Don’t get me wrong it’s very important to listen to people, but it’s also important to be a leader and not a follower. It seems to me the last few years Republicans have listened to people who want “free healthcare” “free housing” and “free education” and have said “that sounds good, free healthcare, free housing, and free education for everyone and that’s the new conservatism”.   We have to start teaching people things like healthcare and education, are privileges for those who have earned them and not guaranteed rights for everyone.  It seems strange that the same kind of people who are trying to get rid of rights granted by God, are trying to invent other rights that do not exist.

We can’t be afraid to start telling people “No!” and explaining why giving the poor everything for free will cause future generations to live their entire life poor and dependent. Elected officials also have to stop saying “but, if I do this the people won’t like it and the media will call me names, and I won’t get re-elected, wah, wah, wah!”     Hey, they elected you to lead.   Stand up for what you believe in, if you lose the seat. Lose, like a man. If you are a woman, lose like a woman. Do what is right, not what is popular.   You will get more votes with respect, than you will with nonsense.

Former Governor Mitt Romney won the CPAC straw? What were those people thinking? I know not a lot of people took part in it, but Mitt Romney?   He has changed his mind on so many issues so many times to win elections, how can anybody believe his recent morph into a conservative.   Since 1993 he’s had five positions on guns, six positions on abortion, and four positions on taxes, he created “universal healthcare” in Massachusetts. He claims to be the political offspring of President Ronald Reagan but when he was running against Senator Ted Kennedy in 1994 he stated “I never voted for Ronald Reagan.” In 1992, he endorsed Paul Tsongas for President.  He does know money I’ll have to give him that, but, if he wants to help America he should stay in the private sector and make a lot of people rich. He should not be President.

In closing I’d like to say, I’m glad Mark Levin called out that stupid, punk David Frum.  It is about time, that guy has been a thorn in our sides for a while. I don’t know if you heard it or not, but he called Mark on the air the day after his comments. It is funny that David thinks he can attack anyone but when he gets attacked “That’s just wrong!” Hey Dave, you got to have a duck’s back and some big grapefruits in this business.   If you live in a glass house don’t throw stones. If you are going to go after someone, expect a response, so have your house in order.   Only dish what you can take.

It’s Saturday Morning… May God Bless America!

Schumer!

Who in the hell do you think you are? This jerk says, “When we want to work with you, don’t show us the back of your hand! Please on the next bill… uh, it’s too late for this one but on the next one vote with us, instead of against us”.  How many times did Senator Schumer vote with President Bush? Hey guys, you have the majority in both houses of Congress! I get a kick out of Democrats insisting that we go along with their ridiculous agenda. For some reason they do not want to own their own plan, because they know their plan is bad. Which begs the question?????

If I had the Presidency, and my party had the majority in the House and the Senate, I would not care if the other minority party voted for it or not. I know my plans would work. So if the opposing party voted against me, they would stay the minority party for the rest of my time in office. If I know I’m right that is good enough for me, because, then my opponents are proven wrong and they will lose.

Senator Charles Schumer and President Barack Obama do not have any faith in their plans, so when they don’t work they do not want ownership of them.   That is just sad.

Who is the bigger fool, the fool who commits the foolish act or the ones that follow the fool’s lead?  Hey Specter, Collins, and Snowe; how does that Merlot taste? Enjoy your time at the Communist Country Club.   I hope you choke on a cucumber sandwich.

It’s Saturday afternoon… May God Bless America!

SCHIP Out Of Danger? I don't think so...

Doesn't it just warm your heart to know that in these hard economic times, you are now paying for the healthcare of children age 29 and under whose parents make less than $98,000 a year?  Now let us take this one at a time...

1.  This June I'll be turning 37. Gee, I thought half my life was over and now according to the government I’ve only been an adult for less than eight years.   Hey it's PARTYTIME!!!

2.  The liberals used to think that $98,000 dollars was rich. Heck, the liberals used to think that $38,000 dollars was rich.  What happened here? Whenever we try to give them a tax cut, they claim we are the party of the rich, but, when we deny their children free government sponsored lousy healthcare we are mean-spirited.

 3.  The more people who don't pay for healthcare, the more people who pay for their own will have to pay for everyone else. How is that "fiscally responsible", Mr. President?

The march toward communism continues..

President Obama said that this is a "down payment" on Universal Healthcare which is coming in March.  President Obama if that is done, you and the team better get ready for the worst depression in the history of this country.

It's Sunday morning...  May God Bless America!

Double Standard?

I could believe this knowing the media the way I do...

On Saturday Afternoon on the Fox New Channel, Fox and NECN contributor Mary Ann Marsh was asked about the job that newly elected RNC Chairman Michael Steele will do in bringing his party back into power.  She stated, "As a person, I wish him well, but as a Democrat, I hope he is not successful, and it does not work out."   Not a single person on the Fox panel, said, "How dare you!"  Under normal circumstances I would not expect them to do so.  I mean she is a left wing socialist Democrat she should hope for the conservative Republicans to fail, I would not expect anything else.

So why then is everybody getting on Rush Limbaugh and Mark Levin for wanting the current President to fail? President Obama is a communist, gun stealing, baby killer.  Every single person who calls themselves a conservative, free market, gun owning, child saving Christian should hope he is not successful,  because if he is by the time his term is up The United States of America will look even more like Europe.

In other news, Governor Fast Eddie Rendell said today that he "wishes the Republicans stopped trying to define their party and all just do what is good for our country by agreeing with President Obama."  Hey Fast Eddie, when it was time to fix Social Security did all the Democrats do the right thing and just support President Bush?   When it was time to support the Iraq war when things looked bad over there, did the Democrats do what was right and still support a war that most of them voted for in the first place?  Governor, why do you need our support the bill is going top pass anyway and if it is the wonderful thing you say it is the Democrats will look like heroes and the Republicans will look stupid and you will win huge landslide victories all across the fruited.....  Oh, what's that?  You know the bill will do nothing to help and just prolong the agony, and that is why you want the Republicans to vote for it, so you will not get all the blame.   I get it now...

Now, I have some words of wisdom for Senator Judd Gregg "Don't do it" The only reason you are being considered is the Democrats want 60 votes in the Senate.  You will not have any pull or stroke in that position.  Trust me, I know you are worried   about Re-election in 2010, but I think if the party goes conservative we will be in a much better position in two years.   President Obama's ship is sinking by the day; don't jump on a boat with several holes in it.  You will not be thrown a life raft.   Too much moderation causes constipation.  We want to see the old Judd Gregg back.  The person you were when you were running for office.   I know he still exists somewhere in there.

Well today is Superbowl Sunday.  As most of you know I am a lifelong Washington Redskins fan. So I don't really care who wins, but I do want to see a good game. In full disclosure, I have bet $5 on Arizona.   I hope the Redskins have a good season next year, but I will cheer for them no matter what.   Consistency is very important in life.

It's Sunday afternoon....  May God Bless America...

Down the Path We Go

"The shroud ....has fallen, impossible to see the future is”.   I would have used the entire quote from Star Wars Revenge of the Sith and said "of the dark side" but then the liberals would have accused me of being a racist.  I made the same comment in 1993 when President Clinton took over with a Democrat Congress.  It's a reference to evil Democrats, not skin color, you idiots.

Now you are saying "Isn't evil a bit harsh, just because you disagree with someone politically does not make them evil".  I say it depends on the issue.  Some issues are black or white.  Oops! We can't say that anymore either.  It means right or wrong idiots; it has nothing to do with skin color.

Some issues are more than just right or left, they are right or wrong.   President Obama already demonstrated this week that he is on the wrong side of history and from my standpoint the evil side of the issues....

First, he signs an executive order to fund overseas abortions again with our tax dollars. A policy that seems to change every time the White House changes hands  from one party to another.  It makes me sick that my tax dollars are supporting genocide in foreign countries.  The destruction of innocent human life should not be paid for with my tax dollars.  That is evil, plain and simple.  Did you ever notice that the "peace" demonstrators that are so worried about the rights of guilty, terror-causing, human life never seem to complain about abortion?

Second, he signs an executive order which basically orders the closing of Guantanamo Bay before the end of the year.  White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs when asked "Where will you put the detainees?" He replied "I don't know... that has not been decided yet."  When asked if the country was still conducting a war on terror?  Gibbs replied “I don't know.... I will ask you to refer to the President's Inaugural Address on that issue...  I think the President made himself clear in the last speech."   The problem is; he is right.  The President does not care if a mushroom cloud appears over a major city in the United States as long as we are respected by Europe.  The President is more concerned about the adoration of the world, than the safety of the United States.    Putting the country you just swore twice to protect at risk of another terrorist attack is evil.    I am reminded of Pittsburgh Steeler Jack Lambert's famous quote "I'd rather be feared and respected than loved and adored".  That should be our foreign policy until the end of the war with radical Islam. All throughout the 1990's   the terrorists were at war with us, we just didn’t fight back until 2001.  They will always be at war with us, whether or not we choose to fight them...

Third, President Obama, along with the liberals in Congress and the media are already starting to squash dissent already.  Fox News reported this morning on Fox and Friends President Obama had the nerve to say yesterday "If Republicans want to have a seat at the table they better stop listening to people like Rush Limbaugh who just tow the line and start listening to me"   So now if you don't agree with the Administration you don't get a seat at the table.  That's funny; I thought the Democrat Party believed that dissent was the highest form of patriotism.   When President Bush went to war in Iraq, you could never question the patriotism of anyone who was opposed the war.

It is laughable that the same people who mocked and booed President Bush in his last hour as President now want no opposition for President Obama.  If you disagree with him "you're un-American for not wanting your President to succeed."

People that know me know I am a patriot. I love my country as much as the founding fathers did.  That is why when I see a bunch of radical extremists take over the White House and the Congress, backed by a bias media that will not tell the truth.  I do proudly stand in opposition against a force that could permanently damage the country.  I want them to fail so my country can succeed.

A Real Special Day..

On this day 13 years ago I was given the gift of life, I received a bone marrow transplant. Thanks to God, my doctors, my donor (whoever he is), my parents, and all the people who stood with me.  An iced tea toast to another 40 years...  Cheers.....
