Down the Path We Go

"The shroud ....has fallen, impossible to see the future is”.   I would have used the entire quote from Star Wars Revenge of the Sith and said "of the dark side" but then the liberals would have accused me of being a racist.  I made the same comment in 1993 when President Clinton took over with a Democrat Congress.  It's a reference to evil Democrats, not skin color, you idiots.

Now you are saying "Isn't evil a bit harsh, just because you disagree with someone politically does not make them evil".  I say it depends on the issue.  Some issues are black or white.  Oops! We can't say that anymore either.  It means right or wrong idiots; it has nothing to do with skin color.

Some issues are more than just right or left, they are right or wrong.   President Obama already demonstrated this week that he is on the wrong side of history and from my standpoint the evil side of the issues....

First, he signs an executive order to fund overseas abortions again with our tax dollars. A policy that seems to change every time the White House changes hands  from one party to another.  It makes me sick that my tax dollars are supporting genocide in foreign countries.  The destruction of innocent human life should not be paid for with my tax dollars.  That is evil, plain and simple.  Did you ever notice that the "peace" demonstrators that are so worried about the rights of guilty, terror-causing, human life never seem to complain about abortion?

Second, he signs an executive order which basically orders the closing of Guantanamo Bay before the end of the year.  White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs when asked "Where will you put the detainees?" He replied "I don't know... that has not been decided yet."  When asked if the country was still conducting a war on terror?  Gibbs replied “I don't know.... I will ask you to refer to the President's Inaugural Address on that issue...  I think the President made himself clear in the last speech."   The problem is; he is right.  The President does not care if a mushroom cloud appears over a major city in the United States as long as we are respected by Europe.  The President is more concerned about the adoration of the world, than the safety of the United States.    Putting the country you just swore twice to protect at risk of another terrorist attack is evil.    I am reminded of Pittsburgh Steeler Jack Lambert's famous quote "I'd rather be feared and respected than loved and adored".  That should be our foreign policy until the end of the war with radical Islam. All throughout the 1990's   the terrorists were at war with us, we just didn’t fight back until 2001.  They will always be at war with us, whether or not we choose to fight them...

Third, President Obama, along with the liberals in Congress and the media are already starting to squash dissent already.  Fox News reported this morning on Fox and Friends President Obama had the nerve to say yesterday "If Republicans want to have a seat at the table they better stop listening to people like Rush Limbaugh who just tow the line and start listening to me"   So now if you don't agree with the Administration you don't get a seat at the table.  That's funny; I thought the Democrat Party believed that dissent was the highest form of patriotism.   When President Bush went to war in Iraq, you could never question the patriotism of anyone who was opposed the war.

It is laughable that the same people who mocked and booed President Bush in his last hour as President now want no opposition for President Obama.  If you disagree with him "you're un-American for not wanting your President to succeed."

People that know me know I am a patriot. I love my country as much as the founding fathers did.  That is why when I see a bunch of radical extremists take over the White House and the Congress, backed by a bias media that will not tell the truth.  I do proudly stand in opposition against a force that could permanently damage the country.  I want them to fail so my country can succeed.

A Real Special Day..

On this day 13 years ago I was given the gift of life, I received a bone marrow transplant. Thanks to God, my doctors, my donor (whoever he is), my parents, and all the people who stood with me.  An iced tea toast to another 40 years...  Cheers.....

The last straw... I'm about to explode!

This is getting beyond ridiculous. On Wednesday night I was watching the local news on WCVB Channel 5, an ABC affiliate (big mistake I know but I wanted to hear the weather report). There was a story about a woman in Mansfield,  who was turning 104 and was now the oldest woman in Mansfield. She still walked well and ate anything she wanted.  She had no health problems.  It was a good story.  There was nothing political in the story at all.

At the end of the story the two anchors had a discussion about it. In which Ed Harding said “She was born in 1904 when Teddy Roosevelt was President and the greatest news is, in a few days she will be able to enjoy the Inauguration of President Barack Obama along with the rest of us.  That will certainly be a great day that she will remember forever just like we all will right Dick.” To which Dick Albert the weather man said “Yes it will.”

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!

Between this and what I have to put up with at Harvard everyday, it is amazing I haven’t lost my mind.

Have a great weekend everyone.

It’s Friday Night… God Bless America!

A New History and How It Can Be Applied...

The major criticisms the Democrats have been using against President Bush and The Republicans over the last eight years have to do with too much government spending. This week President-Elect Barack Hussein Obama announced his plan to fix this problem.  He proclaims "The solution is more government spending."

His plan dubbed the "2009 Fiscal Recovery Plan" because his focus groups told him that is what he should call it.  (See Bill Clinton, 1993)  The plan calls for 778 billion dollars in new spending, (those are his numbers the real number is up around 1.6 trillion) The plan includes infrastructure (see the Big Dig, Boston 1987-2006), education spending with no real reform (See George W. Bush and Ted Kennedy 2001),   bailouts for people who do not know how to manage money (see 2008), and handouts for people who do not pay any taxes (see always and forever).

He then continues "We have to do this right now, or we risk another Great Depression."  I say "If we do this right now we will cause another Great Depression."   A book that should definitely be required reading for our President- Elect is "The Forgotten Man, A New History of the Great Depression" by Amity Shlaes.  She wrote this book because she did not like the way The Great Depression was being explained and taught.  She thought too many myths and falsehoods were slowly becoming "facts".

Amity Shlaes points out the failures of FDR's New Deal and other spending measures and how they prolonged the Great Depression.

She also explains that some of what President Hoover (you know the President who is now wrongly vilified for his hands off approach) was doing was great and we would have had a much shorter depression had those policies continued.

"Mister we could use a man, like Herbert Hoover again" (Carroll O'Connor & Jean Stapleton, 1970).

Anyone who has taken an economics class in high school or college can tell you raising taxes on "rich" people causes "poor" people to lose their jobs.  If you want a stimulus to boost the economy drop the top tax rate from 35% to 23%.   That will actually create jobs and create more taxpayers.   Better yet, create a flat tax of 16% across the board.  You could also implement the "fair tax" otherwise known as the "consumption tax" and get rid of the income tax all together.  These are just some of the good solutions that would actually work.

Creating more taxes and more government will destroy any chance for economic growth.

This is My Grown Up Obama Presidency

Have you ever noticed that President-Elect Obama's promises seem to sound like that song, This is my grown up Christmas List.

Listen.. No more lives torn apart, and wars would never start, and time would heal all hearts, every man would have a friend, and (left) would always win, and love would never end..... This is my grown up Obama Presidency...

But there is more.. "For those who are comfortable with their plan, and can afford their healthcare coverage, they can and should keep their plan..... for others who cannot afford  a healthcare plan, we have the responsibillity to provide one for them." - See my post from yesterday...

"The sea waters which are rising because of global warming, will begin to recede."

There is so much I could say on this on this one, First I do not think that sentence is grammatically correct.  That has never stopped him before.   Second, so somehow the water will know it's okay to change it's natural pattern becuase he is President?  He is starting to sound like John Edwards...  Third, they say a rising tide lifts all boats, so a receding tide....  Wait, he's right!  HAHAHA!

"Children will get the education they deserve" - That is way to easy.

"Raising Capital Gains taxes is not about helping the economy, it's about fairness..."  - Nuff said

Finally my favorite "We are the ones, that we have been waiting for" - Is there a mouse in his pocket?

What's is truly sad about all of this is that 52% of the American voters in the last election actually believe ther lives will be full of sunshine and rainbows and they will never know another bad day now that their  "Messiah" has been elected.   When everything goes to hell, it should be fun watching their reaction, but it's a shame what the country is going to have to go through.  What will the left do when the only thing to blame is themselves?  I'll be okay,  because I started to plan for something like this years ago.   We survived eight years of Clinton we can survive this too.  As Johnny Cash once sang "She's in good shape, for the shape she's in" -The Flag.  In 2010 if we run real Conservatives with a capital "C" we will take back the Congress, becuase by then things will be so bad, the people will be clamoring for the good old days of President George W. Bush.  I know that sounds unbelievable, but for those who don't think so... just wait...

Well, I am in the process of cooking for 30 people so I gotta go.  To my family here at Townhall.com I wish you and your families and friends a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

May the Lord  bless you and keep you this Christmas and throughout the New Year.

It's Christmas Eve... May God Bless America!
