An Open Letter to Meghan McCain

Meghan McCain took a shot at Ann Coulter this week.  Well Meghan, here is your receipt…

Dear Miss Meghan McCain,

Your father and his mushy moderate views are what cost us the election last November. If you and dear-old-Dad want to promote “center-left views” than create your own party, and get the hell out of mine.

I volunteered for your father last year. I gave up every weekend for him to work in his call center in Boston which by the way is 27 miles from my house. I even went up to Nashua New Hampshire and walked over five miles, house to house for him.  It was not because your dad inspired me. It was not because I believed in John McCain’s message (He didn’t have one).  It was because I did not want Barack Obama to become President.   When I volunteered for President George W. Bush, (a man you never even voted for, Meghan) by the following January he always sent me a personal thank you note after the grueling campaign thanking me for all my hard work.  It is now March and I have not even received a form letter thank you from your father.  That shows you how much your family appreciates the help…

Maybe if Father John didn’t spend the last ten years attacking conservatives every week maybe some more of those “bad people” as you call us would have voted for him. Maybe if your father didn’t say such glowing things about his good friends Ted Kennedy and John Kerry, he would have rallied more people to his side. When asked during the campaign if he was worried that conservatives would not vote for him, he said “Where else are they going to go?”  That is really inspiring.  Ann Coulter would have received more votes than John McCain did.

We don’t need two versions of the Democrats. When that happens, the liberals will vote for the Democrat and the conservatives stay home. Meghan it’s time for you and Big Daddy to leave the GOP. If you don’t like us, then just go, no one will ask you to stay, and we won’t miss you either.

Sincerely,

Michael John Smith Jr.

It Happened at CPAC

I know I’m late to the game in commenting on all of this but there has been a lot going on…

First of all I think Rush gave a great speech. He hit all the points that were important to victory next time around. Now if we could just get a conservative   who is running for office to give a speech like that and we would win. For all the merlot sipping, mushy moderates that claim the speech was over the top and does not represent the new intellectual expanded Republican Party, I got one thing to say… “Expand on this, pal!!!” The last two elections you idiots tried to reach out to the other side and we got are hands cut off. Why the hell do we need two versions of the Democrat Party?   The GOP has to end the practice of visiting with people and adopting every idea that they hear from someone and running candidates on that and calling all the new ideas “the new conservatism”.

UPDATE:   The Liberals are now going after Rush because he said if Ted Kennedy passes away before the "universal healthcare" bill is done they will end up calling it "The Ted Kennedy Memorial Healthcare bill" What they are not saying is John Podesta said basically the same thing in February.   Let me get this straight a person can get drunk, kill a woman, and not tell anyone for 56 hours, never serve any time in jail and keep his job as a U.S. Senator.  However, 40 years later when a Talk Show host makes a comment about a bill being named after him, now there is controversy. Give me a break!!!
We now return you to my regular post...

Don’t get me wrong it’s very important to listen to people, but it’s also important to be a leader and not a follower. It seems to me the last few years Republicans have listened to people who want “free healthcare” “free housing” and “free education” and have said “that sounds good, free healthcare, free housing, and free education for everyone and that’s the new conservatism”.   We have to start teaching people things like healthcare and education, are privileges for those who have earned them and not guaranteed rights for everyone.  It seems strange that the same kind of people who are trying to get rid of rights granted by God, are trying to invent other rights that do not exist.

We can’t be afraid to start telling people “No!” and explaining why giving the poor everything for free will cause future generations to live their entire life poor and dependent. Elected officials also have to stop saying “but, if I do this the people won’t like it and the media will call me names, and I won’t get re-elected, wah, wah, wah!”     Hey, they elected you to lead.   Stand up for what you believe in, if you lose the seat. Lose, like a man. If you are a woman, lose like a woman. Do what is right, not what is popular.   You will get more votes with respect, than you will with nonsense.

Former Governor Mitt Romney won the CPAC straw? What were those people thinking? I know not a lot of people took part in it, but Mitt Romney?   He has changed his mind on so many issues so many times to win elections, how can anybody believe his recent morph into a conservative.   Since 1993 he’s had five positions on guns, six positions on abortion, and four positions on taxes, he created “universal healthcare” in Massachusetts. He claims to be the political offspring of President Ronald Reagan but when he was running against Senator Ted Kennedy in 1994 he stated “I never voted for Ronald Reagan.” In 1992, he endorsed Paul Tsongas for President.  He does know money I’ll have to give him that, but, if he wants to help America he should stay in the private sector and make a lot of people rich. He should not be President.

In closing I’d like to say, I’m glad Mark Levin called out that stupid, punk David Frum.  It is about time, that guy has been a thorn in our sides for a while. I don’t know if you heard it or not, but he called Mark on the air the day after his comments. It is funny that David thinks he can attack anyone but when he gets attacked “That’s just wrong!” Hey Dave, you got to have a duck’s back and some big grapefruits in this business.   If you live in a glass house don’t throw stones. If you are going to go after someone, expect a response, so have your house in order.   Only dish what you can take.

It’s Saturday Morning… May God Bless America!
